Exclusively for Cambrian Birders and with your needs and wishes in mind, we have converted a traditional 18th Century Welsh stone farmhouse and long-barn into your accommodation, Y Clwyd (“The Roost”).

Y Clwyd (pronounced "Er Clue-id") is set in the beautiful countryside of Ceredigion, sheltered by many trees and with superb panoramic views of the Preseli Hills and Valleys. A secluded and peaceful location for wildlife and naturalists alike.

The gardens with their many trees, bushes, wild flowers and pond attract an abundance of birds, butterflies, dragonflies, aquatic creatures and other wildlife.

Buzzards often "mew" whilst they soar overhead and indeed breed in the grounds or locally as do Ravens, Redstarts and Sparrowhawks.

At Y Clwyd all bedrooms (singles, doubles and twin) have en suite facilities (WC, basin and bath or shower), tea and coffee making equipment, shaver points and alarm clock radios.

Y Clwyd is carpeted and heated throughout with a comfortable lounge for your relaxation complete with colour television and a small natural history library. A payphone is installed if you need to keep in touch with the outside world!
